Design & Technology Institute calls on the Minister for Labour, Jobs & Employment

A delegation from the Design & Technology Institute (DTI), led by its Founder and President, Ms. Constance E. Swaniker, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Labour, Jobs & Employment, Hon. Dr. Abdul Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, at his office in Accra on Tuesday, 29 April 2025.

Ms. Swaniker congratulated Hon. Pelpuo on his ministerial appointment and emphasised the critical role of skills training in shaping national development.

The visit underscored DTI’s commitment to work collaboratively with the Ministry for Labour, Jobs & Employment and other stakeholders across sectors to advance skills training in Ghana.

Ms. Swaniker extended an invitation to the Minister to visit DTI’s East Legon campus to familiarise himself with DTI’s projects and the impact we are making in our community.

The Minister emphasised the importance of skills training and pledged his support to advocate for youth empowerment through bold and innovative policies and solutions, equipping young people with the right skills and resources to enter the workforce or start their businesses, thereby creating jobs.

Other members of the delegation were Ms. Korkor Amarteifio, Policy and Art Consultant, and Charles Mensah, Communication Consultant.
