DTI understands that learning can take place outside of the classroom setting. That's why we offer a serene environment in our library where you can relax while engaging with carefully selected reading materials from renowned authors. Our collection is influenced by our programmes of study and covers a wide range of subjects, including Business & Entrepreneurship, ICT, Welding & Fabrication, Sculpture, Architecture, Mathematics, Product Realization, and even some fictional books for your leisurely enjoyment.
Our Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) enables our community of learners and facilitators to have seamless access to a vast array of online resources from numerous Open-Source repositories, including but not limited to Research Gate, PDF Drive, Eric, Core, and more. This ensures that our learners have uninterrupted access to reliable resources, whether they are on or off-campus.
The library presently houses a physical collection of 1,675 books that cover a wide range of subjects, with a primary focus on three key trade areas: Welding & Fabrication, Business & Entrepreneurship, and Design Innovation. However, the collection is not limited to these areas, and it includes diverse subjects as well. The library aims to expand its collection over time.
The Edith Amarteifio Library features the following
The Edith Amarteifio Library is managed by Miss Paulina Awuah as the Head Librarian, while Miss Adelaide Nikoi serves as the Assistant Librarian. Additionally, as part of DTI's annual Summer Internship Programme, learners from other public tertiary institutions are provided with an opportunity to intern at the library. These interns assist with data entry, manage the library's physical collection, and help other learners in locating materials and utilizing library equipment.
