DTI Holds Annual Community Liaison Durbar

Community Liaison Officers

The Durbar was held on the 19th of February, 2020 at the DTI Campus. It was organized by the Admissions Team as part of the Recruitment and Admissions Strategy for the 2022/2023 academic year.

DTI’s Community Liaison Officers or CLOs are its representatives in the communities. They advertise the school, and it’s benefits while prescreening to recruit brilliant, and deserving leaners to DTI.

The CEO, Madam Constance Swaniker gave a powerful welcoming address, expounding on DTI’s vision and core values. She mentioned that DTI provides world-class TVET training, reiterating it’s revolutionary charge to reduce graduate unemployment.

Presentations were made by the different academic and administrative departments to the CLOs to well equip them when going out to the communities to recruit applicants.

Presentations were done on DTI’s 3 main courses; Precision Welding and Fabrication Program, Design Innovation Program, Entrepreneurship program as well as other relevant information like Extracurricular Activities, Student Services, Student Life and Safeguarding, Student Finance and Fee Structure and Workplace Experience Learning.

The Admission Team gave the final presentation, detailing all DTI Admission requirements and answering all questions the CLOs had.

In all, it was a successful program and DTI looks forward to having a fruitful Admissions Cycle.
